If possible, you should try to find somewhere where you're not likely to be interrupted when you're on a zoom call. But this isn't always possible, and in most remote companies it's generally expected that sometimes your children, pets or partners will be in the room with you when you're working.

Many remote companies see this as an advantage, since it helps people get to know about each other's personal lives a bit more.

  • Don't worry if your children interrupt a call – this is normal. Just mute and have a conversation with them. šŸ‘¶
  • If you have a cute pet and it interrupts you, expect that everyone on the call will want to meet them! 🐶
